Like many schools in our area BSC is proactively taking steps to protect students and staff against the H1N1 by constantly communicating with students and parents via e-mails and in person. Alabama’s Department of Health states there are 1587 confirmed cases of the virus in Alabama. As of Friday 34 probable cases were noted and two deaths have been associated with Swine flu in the state. The topic of the swine flu was not too far from the minds of parents and students on Saturday as hundreds of students moved on to campus at Birmingham Southern College.
