Charges dropped against Birmingham mother in child’s death

- Police have dropped charges against a mother accused in the death of her child. 25-year old Tangela Harris was facing charges in connection with the death of 23-month-old Lakiyah Stenson. The child died at Children?s hospital on February 25th. Doctors had said it was from neglect. Police first said the child was murdered but after further investigation by the coroner office the cause of the child?s death was changed to unclassified.

Mark Quinsey 23 from Birmingham and Patrick Azimkar 21 from London were shot at the base on Saturday. The Real IRA said they killed the soldiers who were attacked as they accepted a pizza delivery.

They need more time to examine evidence released to them by federal prosecutors according to a joint motion filed in U. District Court at Birmingham.

Dunkin’ Donuts to open 21 Birmingham-area locations

RFS LLC signed a multi-store-development agreement and plans to open its first location in the next 12 months said a news release. The release did not indicate exact locations for the restaurants and only said RFS principles are local businessmen. Dunkin’ said it is looking for additional franchisees to open locations in the area including numerous outlying counties. The opening of the stores is part of Dunkin’ Donut’s growth strategy which includes expanding in potential and existing markets said the release.
