The priciest version of gas averaged a record $4. 06 inAlabama’s largest city on Monday an increase of 23percent from a year ago according to a survey of servicestations by AAA-Alabama. Premium gasoline which isrecommended or required by some automakers has jumped 34cents a gallon in the past month the group says. Prices for 91-octane gas are climbing at a faster ratethan 87-octane regular which has jumped 31 cents over thepast month.
